City Silhouettes in Organza by Lena Meszaros

We will be creating a small picture using organza fabric cut with a soldering iron.

You can choose between two different cityscapes: a simpler one made of rectangles, in the “Amsterdam” style, and a more complex one with curves, in the “Venice” style. For this, we use a variety of metal stencils.

Attention: at the start of the workshop you will have to buy a kit with materials from the teacher, this costs € 30,00. Please bring cash money to pay for this. In this kit you’ll find a soldering iron, 6 sheets of organza 50×75 cm, metal sheet.

Please bring with you; Sewing needle, pins, fabric scissors, little scissors for cutting metal, metal ruler, pliers for holding small pieces in place, a piece of background fabric 50×50 cm (optional), a piece of fine sandpaper, a sketchbook, a ballpoint pen, a small iron, a small trash bag. Synthetic organza fabric in different colors if you want more colors.
