DEZE WORKSHOP IS IN HET ENGELS – Carolina is gewend aan internationale gezelschappen en laat alles goed zien, ook zal er iemand van de organisatie in de zaal zijn die eventueel kan assisteren als je iets niet begrijpt.

In this workshop the attendees will learn about color theory and how to use color to create a transparency effect using color, shapes and fabrics. Then the attendees will make a mini quilt top,
where they will design it from scratch to use the transparency effect. They will learn how to cut fabrics with complex shapes and how to sew these curved shapes by machine.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
• 2 blank paper measuring 15” x 20” (approximately) with a paper weight not less than 110 grams (14 oz) OR a 2 sheet of Freezer paper of the same size. (Using freezer paper makes work easier)
• Masking tape
• Paper scissors
• Pencil
• Pins
• Fabric marker (erasable)
• Rotary cutter
• Quilting ruler
• Quarter inch foot (is aanwezig in de workshopruimte)
• Thread for sewing
• 5 fat quarters (solids) in 5 different colors that form either an analogous palette OR 5 fabrics that are in the same color going from a lighter shade to a darker shade.
• 2 fat quarter of background fabric of your choice (Neutral will be better, like white, off white, grey, black, beige, etc.)

• Notebook and pencil for taking notes

• Sewing machine (is aanwezig in de workshopruimte)

• Iron and ironing table (is aanwezig in de workshopruimte)
